About Resin
Electronics design that starts from what you want to build
Designing a board still takes weeks of reading datasheets, drawing symbols and footprints, wiring pins and routing traces. Resin is an electronics design workspace with AI built in: describe a circuit, get a schematic with real parts, then carry the same design through layout, checks and manufacturing, all in the browser.
Real parts, not placeholders
Resin AI chooses components you can buy, reads their datasheets and cites the pages behind each fact.
You stay in charge
Every AI change is an ordinary edit in the same editor. Inspect it, change it, undo it, or design without AI at all.
Your designs stay yours
Import KiCad and Altium projects, and export editable projects and the full manufacturing package at any time.
What Resin does
One workspace covers the whole path from an idea to a board you can order. Resin AI drafts, researches and reviews; the editors, checks and exports are complete without it.
- Requirements
- Describe the circuit in plain language. Resin asks about what matters and proposes architectures with block diagrams.
- Components
- Real, purchasable parts with datasheet research, and symbols and footprints generated from the datasheet when your library has none.
- Schematic
- A readable schematic drafted with those parts, checked with ERC, and edited like any other.
- PCB layout
- A full PCB editor with routing and 3D inspection. Resin AI can place and route the board from the chat (beta).
- Manufacturing
- Gerber, drill, BOM, pick-and-place, ODB++, IPC-2581 and STEP outputs, checked with DRC first.
- Teams and agents
- Shared projects, comments, version history and design reviews, plus an MCP server for the AI agents you already use.
