Terms of Service

These terms describe the baseline rules for using Resin EDA, including accounts, design data, AI-assisted workflows, acceptable use, and service changes.

01

Using Resin EDA

Resin EDA provides browser-based electronics design tools for schematics, PCB layout, collaboration, review, manufacturing outputs, and related workflows. You may use the service only in compliance with these terms and applicable law.

You are responsible for the projects, files, prompts, instructions, and other content you submit to the service, and for reviewing any design outputs before relying on them.

02

Accounts and Access

Keep your account credentials accurate and secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account, including activity by people you invite to a workspace or organization.

If you use Resin EDA for a company or other organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these terms for that organization.

03

Your Design Data

You retain ownership of your schematics, PCB files, libraries, BOMs, manufacturing outputs, comments, and other project content. Resin EDA does not claim ownership of your design data.

You grant Resin EDA the limited rights needed to host, process, display, back up, transmit, and otherwise operate the service for you and your authorized collaborators.

04

AI Assistance and Engineering Review

Resin EDA may help generate, transform, route, review, summarize, or inspect design artifacts. These features are aids to engineering judgment, not a substitute for professional review, verification, testing, or compliance analysis.

Before fabrication, sourcing, shipment, or deployment, you are responsible for validating electrical behavior, safety, regulatory requirements, manufacturability, licensing, and component availability.

05

Acceptable Use

Do not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, upload malicious content, or use Resin EDA to violate intellectual property, export control, privacy, safety, or other legal obligations.

Do not submit content that you do not have the right to use, or use the service to build projects intended to cause harm or evade lawful controls.

06

Plans, Billing, and Changes

Some features may require a paid plan, usage-based limits, or separate terms shown at purchase. Fees, limits, and feature availability may change prospectively with reasonable notice when practical.

We may update, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service as the product evolves, including preview or early-access features.

07

Third-Party Services and Components

Resin EDA may integrate with third-party part databases, distributors, model providers, file formats, cloud infrastructure, and APIs. Those services may have their own terms, data practices, availability limits, and pricing.

Component pricing, lifecycle status, stock, models, and datasheet information can change. Treat third-party information as a starting point and confirm it with authoritative sources before procurement or release.

08

Disclaimers and Liability

The service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that generated or imported design artifacts will be error-free, complete, compliant, manufacturable, or suitable for a particular use.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Resin EDA is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, business interruption, procurement costs, fabrication errors, or product recalls.

09

Termination

You may stop using Resin EDA at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe these terms were violated, continued access creates risk, or we are required to do so by law.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, confidentiality, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and payment obligations, will survive.
