Product and engineering

Does Resin run in a browser?

Yes. Resin is a browser-based EDA environment, so the editor, project data, and review workflow are available without a desktop installation.

Before adopting it across a team, test the browsers, graphics support, persistence, downloads, and network conditions your engineers actually use.

How much of the PCB workflow does Resin cover?

Resin covers schematic capture, PCB layout and routing, components and BOM work, design checks, review, import and export, and manufacturing outputs.

Format fidelity, rule coverage, model availability, and supplier requirements vary by project, so test the parts that matter to your workflow.

What can Resin AI do?

Resin AI helps engineers find information and perform bounded design tasks in context. It is an assistant, not an autonomous design authority.

Review proposed changes before applying them, verify engineering values against authoritative sources, and run the same ERC, DRC, and release checks you would use for a manual change.

Data and delivery

Which import and export formats are supported?

The compatibility matrix lists current import, interchange, and output support, including paths that are conditional or still need independent inspection.

Use a representative project from your own toolchain to confirm the exact source version, object types, and outputs you rely on.

Who owns project data, and can it be exported?

Resin's Terms state that users retain ownership of their design data. Resin also provides project and manufacturing export workflows.

Review the current Terms and Privacy Policy for the governing language, then test every editable source and downstream file your organization requires.

Can generated manufacturing files go directly to a supplier?

They should be verified first. Generate the package from a known project revision, inspect it in independent viewers, and compare it with the supplier's requirements.

Teams

Review and learning

How do teams review changes in Resin?

Teams can review design context, comments, project history, differences, and saved states in the same browser-based workspace.

If your process depends on a particular permission, approval, simultaneous-editing, or recovery behavior, include that scenario in your evaluation.

Are guides and example projects available?

Yes. Four concise documentation guides cover the core workflow, while the examples library provides captured product states, routed-board references, and downloadable compatibility fixtures.

What does Resin cost?

Current paid plan prices and organization terms are not published on the website. Contact Resin with your team size and intended scope for a current answer.

How do I get technical help?

Use the support center or email support@resineda.com with the expected result, observed result, browser, and a short reproduction.

Do not send credentials or confidential project files through email unless your organization and Resin have approved that transfer path.
