Guide map

Create a project, understand its structure, and review an existing design safely.

Diagram of a task guide organized into preparation, procedure, checks, and troubleshooting
Each topic summarizes the key actions, completion checks, and first recovery step.

Topics

Work through only the parts your task requires.

  1. 01

Create or import your first project

Start a blank Resin project or carry an Altium or KiCad design through Upload, Preview, Options, and Review.

    Key actions

Open Projects and choose a path; Create a blank project; Upload an import copy; Review parsed documents.

    Complete when

One unambiguous project name Creation path recorded

  2. 02

    Review an existing project

Inspect a project without changing its source: schematic, components, outputs, changes, and history.

    Key actions

Open the project workspace; Inspect the schematic; Review the component data; Check output configuration.

    Complete when

Exact project and version confirmed All visible in-scope sheets and key nets recorded

When something does not match

Stop at the layer that actually failed.

Preserve the original state, correct the source or configuration, and repeat the affected check. Do not use a clean-looking screen as a substitute for the expected engineering result.
Create or import your first project

New Project or Import Project is unavailable
Try: Confirm that the signed-in role can create projects. Do not use another person's account or a production workspace to bypass the permission boundary.

Review an existing project

The project is not listed
Try: Clear the project search and check the Active, Review, and Archived filters. If it is still absent, confirm that your account has access; do not create a replacement project as part of this review.
